Fun Summer Activities To Do With Your Preschoolers!

It’s summer time and children are at home because it’s summer vacation time Spending time with your little one is probably the best part of summer vacation. It's a welcome change from those hectic and monotonous school days when you can relax , travel together and engage in some fun activities. However, there will be a moment when you run out of fun activities and will face the daunting task of keeping him/her engaged. Below are some suggestions for Preschoolers and Daycare children who are at home because of their Summer Holidays.

 
7 Fun Summer Activities for Kids
 
There is never a shortage of summer activities to keep children engaged meaningfully and ideas which can create lifelong … wonderful memories.  Here are a few fun summer activities to keep youngsters of daycare and preschool busy at home during summer.
 
1. Get creative with Art and Craft
 
One of the best indoor summer activities is art and craft. Children and art & craft have always been synonymous. The world is your oyster with contemporary art forms like finger painting, spray painting, stamping and blow painting. Spending quality time with your child will make all the difference.
 
2. Let them enjoy a splash of fun
 
A water-based summer activity that you do with your child will be fun and refreshing to beat the heat this summer. Choose the conventional route and let them splash around the pool or beach or try something new like gardening or car washing with hose pipe and watch them jump in excitement. 
 
3. Make it a self-defense lesson
 
Outdoor summer activities are just as important as indoor ones. It has become a necessity rather than an optional life skill today and summer vacations are a great time to teach your child self-defense. There is a wide range of martial art lessons available to your child, from mainstream ones like Karate and Kung Fu to contemporary ones like Judo and Taekwondo. You can join your child in these classes if he/she does not enjoy the idea. It can become a summer routine!
 
4. Enjoy a day of pottery making!
 
There is nothing more relaxing and engaging than pottery making. This is not only a great summer activity but it also improves their hand-eye coordination and teaches them patience and to stay calm. This outdoor summer activity triggers your little one's imagination as they create a quirky design in their mind or simply see what happens. Furthermore, children love to play in the mud and get a little muddy without the interference of a worried parent nearby!
 
5. Bring children closer to nature
 
You can teach your preschool/daycare child the importance of nature by staying in touch with it this summer. Summer is the perfect time to teach your child the basics of gardening. Let your child choose plants from a neighborhood nursery. Observe how eagerly they listen as you ask the person in charge for tips and suggestions for daily maintenance. You can teach them how plants grow from seeds while you water the plants. Just watch their joy as the plants bloom for the first time.
 
6. Dancing
 
Music is one of the best summer activities for children since it has a very positive effect on them. Discover what music can do for your child by enrolling them in a music class. They can take a break from the competition and just enjoy their passions when they play an instrument, are in a band or practice their vocal cords. They can also choose between Indian music and western music classes. Consider dance classes if your child does not do well in singing or playing an instrument. Dancing gives them more confidence.
 
7. Enroll them in a summer camp
 
A summer camp is a one-stop shop for both parents and children and offers a variety of exciting and fun activities at preschool & daycare.
