In accordance to the latest amendment in The Maternity Act 2017 (passed in Rajya Sabha on August 11, 2016; in Lok Sabha on March 09, 2017, and received an assent from President of India on March 27, 2017), Government has notified that every establishment with more than 50 employees, would have to maintain the facility of crèche in the vicinity of the place of work or within walk able distance, for use of children of such employees under the age of six years.
